Mustang Island first

Port Aransas is where most of our rental conversations start. It is an island town with a ferry, the jetties, beach driving and a working harbor, and it carries the most rental activity on our coast report: 236 listings for sale mention rental use, and 139 describe themselves as Gulf front or Gulf view.

Meraki Beach villas

The Texas Space Coast

How far ahead should I book a summer week in Port Aransas?

For June and July, and for holiday weekends, the best homes go months ahead. Shoulder seasons are easier. Send your dates and we will tell you what is realistic.

Can I rent on South Padre Island during a Starbase launch?

Yes, but launch weeks fill fast. Tell us the window and we will check what is open.

Are pets allowed in beach rentals?

Some homes allow dogs, many do not. Mention it in the form and we will only send homes that say yes.

What is the difference between Gulf front, bayfront and canal homes?

Gulf front sits on the beach side with surf views. Bayfront faces calmer water like Aransas Bay or the Laguna Madre. Canal homes have their own water access for a boat, usually with a dock or slip.

Do you charge a booking fee?

No. Tell us what you want and we will connect you with homes we know.

Can I stay first and then buy?

It happens a lot. A week on the island is the best research there is. We can show you homes for sale while you are there.
